Underbuild reform
This was an interesting project for us as we had some inherent issues to solve before we could think about the finer details. Damp proofing was the order of the day. We started the project by excavating down to find the original footings as we also wanted to create more headroom, we tied our new slab in to the existing footings as not to undermine them. From there we set about damp proofing the floors and walls to eliminate any rising damp while adding insulation to the walls all round via the creation of a cavity on all walls whether they were internal or external. The idea here was to create separation and ventilation.
Once this work alongside the structural changes were completed we could start with the fun bit and make this hole start to feel like a home, what was once an old storage area now became 2 bedrooms, a reception room and
complete bathroom adding space and value to this lovely Moraira home.
